Bernadette Dezzara (born February 28th 1948 in Ozone Park Queens New York) is famous as an American performer, actress and writer of children's stories. In a five-decade career her appearances have been in television and musicals as well as solo concerts and recorded albums. She has been nominated for 7 Tony Awards and won two in addition to 8 Drama Desk Awards. Peters has been awarded Grammy Awards for four of her Broadway recordings of cast.
